THE BIG FLOAT MUSIC LINEUP

THE BIG FLOAT concert stage is presented by the Portland Mercury and KINK-FM.

All floaters who participate in THE BIG FLOAT will receive a wrist band for free entry into the after-float concert. Non-floaters can get in for a measly seven bucks ($7). But you'll want to join the flotilla and save the seven.

(Headliner):   Ramona Falls

Musical phenomena formed out of Menomena and more. Acoustic, folk, rock, hip-hop, electronic and neurons – all firing together.  Without a doubt, the best band named after an Oregon waterfall in the world.

Ages and Ages

One huge, happy sound.  Several vocalists with tent-revival energy and harmony, joined with guitars, bass and string instruments, and percussion.  Joyous, my friend.  Amen.

Keep Your Fork, There’s Pie

Don’t be late for pie.  This six-piece Portland serving is a well-baked mixture of banjo, accordion, uke, mandolin, guitars, drums, trumpet and keys – topped off with creamy choral harmonies. Mmm, that’s good.

Orca Team

Breezy, surf-pop, bikini-bop trio.  A post-punk mash-up of Buddy Holly-era pop blended with other hyphenated adjectives to create some sweet-love ‘60s surf rock.  Viva Elvis!

(And kicking if off):   Bull Ramos

Three boys who pack a bodacious punch of groove-laden power. They belt it out. Good for kickin’ your flip-flops and dancin’ after a BIG FLOAT down the mighty Willamette.
